The 7th Project Association seeks to partner with the community to provide assistance with educational opportunities, nutritional needs, economic development, and basic quality of life improvements for the people of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District.
The 7th Project Association exists for the families of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District. We partner with community organizations to deliver resources that expand educational access, strengthen nutrition, grow economic opportunity, and improve quality of life across the district.
The 7th Project Association is incorporated in the State of Alabama as an association and is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We are governed by a Board of Directors composed of recognized community leaders and supported through annual sponsorship gifts and donor contributions.
Our primary objective is to fund Congressional internships for college students from Alabama’s 7th District. Interns serve in Congresswoman Terri Sewell’s Washington, D.C. and Alabama district offices, receive a stipend, and — for the D.C. placement — have their housing covered. Eligibility requires college enrollment, district residency, strong academics, and demonstrated financial need.
Beyond internships, the Association partners with community groups to deliver resources that address educational access, nutrition, economic growth, and quality-of-life improvements throughout the district.
